Thanks for taking a look at Rye and Sky Woodwrights. My name is Charles and I have been a “wood nerd" for a long time. Though my education and career have been heavily technology focused, I've always had a fascination with wood. The incredible variation of colors, densities and patterns hiding beneath the surface draws me back to the shop to try and make something new.

 

I especially enjoy custom projects. The project I am the most proud of was for my 92 year old grandmother. She grew up in a farming community in Missouri. Through a family connection, I was able to get a piece of oak that was nearly 100 years old from the tongue of a wagon she grew up riding. I was able to craft that oak into a custom pen for her.
